And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To the person who please him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous. Carefully follow the terms of this covenant, so that you may prosper in everything you do. v.12 Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land. v.11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. v.13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. v.12 The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands.
The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity – in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground – in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you. I have been young, and now am old yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. Humility is the fear of the Lord its wages are riches and honor and life. The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it.
